Why should you Inspect an iPhone?
As iPhones are normally quite costly, thus, purchasing a used iPhone is considered a better decision. Unfortunately, the vendor may not always provide you with all of the details you require about a given phone. When you contact the dealer, here are some recommendations on how to inspect a used iPhone.
1. Check the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number.

2. Verify that the activation lock is turned on.
This step ensures that the phone isn’t stolen. To check your activation, go to www.icloud.com/activationlock/ on Apple’s website.
3. Restart your iPhone.
Remove the existing owner’s Apple ID from Settings > iCloud before purchasing an iPhone. Then go to General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings to wipe the iPhone clean.
4. Verify the guarantee
To verify the iPhone’s warranty, go to the Manufacturer’s website.
5. Check for dents at the front.
Examine whether the condition matches the specified rating. After all, various treatments are used by reconditioned iPhone providers to describe how magnificent or broken a smartphone is. Maybe your assumptions and realities aren’t entirely in sync.
Monitor for signs of deterioration, such as scratches, on the casing. It’s also a good idea to look for blemishes on the display. Clean the display thoroughly with it and a (fabric fibre) cloth. Then hold the gadget up to a bright light to see whether there are any damages.
Surface scratches are normally harmless, but fractures and deeper damage should be avoided. The gap allows dust to enter the gadget. Next, make sure the power supply is clean and clear of debris and grit. It’s preferable to place the iPhone in front of bright light for a bit.
6. Examine the camera for debris.
The greatest enemy of your phone’s camera is pollution. Whenever there is dust underneath the detector, grey spots can be seen in photographs. Take this test photo after briefly inspecting the front of the lens.
It’s ideal to photograph a surface that is evenly coloured, such as a fully white or black background. A plain piece of coloured paper can also serve. Take out the camera sensor as well. You will instantly notice if there is grit underneath one of the motion sensors.
